Mom Jeans... here I come!

Lol.... *snort*... hahahaha.... mom jeans.

Who the fuck EVER thinks these are acceptable to wear????

Wow, I'm being rude. I know.

Seriously tho.

Really. It's just a symbol of only SOME of the annoyance I have with the school year, public schooling, and parents.

Reasons I am annoyed at this general aspect of life:

1. Who the hell invented the term "back to school shopping"???? I don't find the fact that we are starting yet another school year is a reason to go out and spend a crap load of money on new clothes. What happened to wearing the clothes that I just washed and put away in the dresser? New clothes you say??? HA! They'll be old clothes after one day of wearing them. Sorry my little bambinos, I'm cheap.

2. When I say "yes, I'll be on the PTA" it doesn't mean that I will spend every single day of the school year AT the school. I do *shocking I know* have a life besides my child's school functions. It's PUBLIC SCHOOL PEOPLE. We can only do so much that the city/district/state will allow us to do.

3. PTA again... Even though I am a card carrying member of this dysfunctional group, it does NOT mean I will sit through a meeting where there is a "who has a bigger dick" fight going on... I WILL walk out, and I did.

4. I will NOT kiss the teacher's/principal's ass. Period. My bambino's are smart little peeps. They don't need their mother kissing ass to make their way in this world.

5. I WILL NEVER argue with a teacher unless there is an EXTREMELY IMPORTANT reason to do so. I have seen parents get upset with a teacher because the teacher held the child's face in her hands to get his attention. Get bent, and get over it. A teacher is a wonderful person.

6. I WILL NEVER forget my child at school. There is one little person at my children's school who's mother FORGETS them about once a week. Unacceptable.

7. We live in the ghetto. Yep, the ghetto. I also have attended field trips, class, and other school events where I have seen the children who live in said ghetto take a swing at teachers, kick, and bite. The key element in all these happenings? The parents. EVERY TIME I have met one of *those children* I always look for their parents at the end of the day... suffice to say, these parents are raising nothing but a bunch of misfits. And I don't blame the children....

8. STOP SENDING ACTIVITY SIGN UP SHEETS HOME EVERY DAY. I am one of those *weird* parents that do not believe in signing my children up in every single sport/activity/hobby class there is. I believe that a child's schedule should not be OVER scheduled. They need time to grow and play with their own imagination. STOP trying to sign them up!

9. Stopping your car in the middle of the road is not the appropriate way to drop off your child for school. I wish there was a law for that one.

10. Finally.... stop having a fundraiser every week. I love to support my child's school but this is annoying. My pocket book only goes so far, I still have bills to pay.

Ok.... that being said, I'm ready for the school year. I AM very happy with the teachers at my child's school. I am happy that they are going to an ethnically diverse school to learn to be colorblind. I am happy to be involved with their school (to an extent). I do like knowing the teachers a bit better then "hello" and "good bye".

Shit. I still have to buy backpacks! Good luck to all as the next school year approaches!
